Galliard Music Policy

Support

Galliard Music is committed to building strong relationships and providing exceptional support beyond the lesson itself. Students and parents are always welcome to reach out to us by email or phone with any general questions or for additional guidance.

For questions related to scheduling, lesson material or practice, we encourage you to connect directly with your instructor.

If you ever have concerns or need additional support regarding your teacher or your experience, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to help ensure every student feels supported and inspired.

Payments

  • Galliard Music accepts credit card payments only.

  • Lessons begin with a single paid trial lesson.

  • If you decide to enroll after the trial period, lessons are auto-billed in packs of 5 lesson credits.

  • Auto-billing occurs automatically whenever your account reaches 0 credits — this ensures uninterrupted lessons.

  • Lesson credits expire 1 year after the purchase date.

  • No refunds will be issued for unused or expired credits.

Payment Records

You may view your payment history and credit balance anytime in your Galliard Music account. (We will provide students with instructions on how to access this.)
All payment-related inquiries must be directed to Galliard Music, not the instructor.

Enrollment & Scheduling

When you enroll at Galliard Music, you are reserving a weekly lesson time with your instructor. This time is held for you each week and is not offered to other students.

For adult students with variable work schedules, we can accommodate alternate or floating schedules upon request — please contact us to discuss options.

Cancellations & Attendance

  • 24-hour notice is required for all cancellations — no exceptions.

  • If you provide 24+ hours notice, your lesson credit remains in your account. You may either:

    • Reschedule the lesson to a different day that week (if availability allows), or

    • Skip the week and simply use the credit for your next scheduled lesson.

For illness or emergency within 24 hours:

  • If your teacher can accommodate a reschedule, you may reschedule the lesson.

  • If the teacher is unable to reschedule, Galliard Music can provide a sub upon request.

  • If no reschedule or sub is accepted, the lesson will be charged in full.

Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice (without illness or emergency) will be charged in full.

Teachers follow the same cancellation standards — if your teacher cancels a lesson with less than 24 hours notice, a substitute can be provided upon request, or the lesson will be rescheduled.

Pausing Lessons

If you would like to temporarily pause lessons (such as for summer or extended travel), you must provide at least 15 days written notice to hello@galliardmusic.com.

Lesson credits remain valid for 1 year after purchase and may be used upon your return.

If you would like us to hold your regular time slot, please confirm this when requesting your pause — we will do our best to accommodate, but availability cannot be guaranteed for pauses longer than 4 weeks.

Discontinuing Lessons

To discontinue lessons, you must provide at least 15 days written notice to hello@galliardmusic.com. This ensures that your teacher’s schedule and time are respected. Please note that any remaining credits in your account are non-refundable.

Since lessons are billed in packs of 5, we encourage students to plan their notice period carefully to align with their remaining credits. Any unused lesson credits at the time of discontinuation will be forfeited.

A Note to Parents

An adult must be present in the home for the full duration of each lesson. If no adult is present, the instructor will not conduct the lesson, and the lesson will be charged in full.

Instructor Requests & Liability

If you are dissatisfied with your instructor, Galliard Music will gladly arrange a new instructor for you. Galliard Music is not liable for any legal issues arising between instructor and student.
