Practice Tips, Tricks & Secrets
This one-hour class helps students learn how to practice smarter — not just longer. Through teacher demonstrations, group discussion, and fun practice games, students will learn techniques for making the most of their practice time at home. Each student will bring a piece they're working on and explore how to tackle tricky sections, build better habits, and take ownership of their progress.

Practice Tips, Tricks & Secrets FAQ
Who can attend? These classes are tailored for students ages 6 and up and are open to all levels and instruments. Participants must be currently enrolled in lessons with one of our teachers.
How many people per class? Each class is limited to 8 students to allow for personal attention and group interaction.
What happens during the class? Students will:
Learn effective practice techniques like chunking, slow practice, looping, using a metronome, and backwards chaining.
Watch live coaching demos as classmates receive tips on specific tricky sections.
Participate in engaging practice games like “Three-in-a-Row” and “Practice Coach”.
Leave with a personalized Practice Toolkit to take home and use during the week.
Can parents sit in on the class? Yes, one parent per student can join as a spectator.

Payment
Payment for classes at Galliard Music is accepted via Credit Card only. Your card will be charged upon registration to secure your spot in the class.
Our Cancellation Policy
As this is a group class, cancellations are not possible, and refunds will not be issued if a student is unable to attend.
A Note to Parents
Each participating student may have one adult accompanying them in the class as a spectator. If you are a student and prefer to be a spectator, please contact us directly. You won't need to register for the class in this case.
