Sing 'n' Play Ukulele

Sing ’n’ Play Ukulele is a fun, outdoor summer music class in Gantry Plaza State Park! Students will be provided with a ukulele and introduced to a few beginner-friendly chords before learning how to play and sing songs together. No previous ukulele experience is needed—just come ready to make music, enjoy the park, and have some summer fun!

Sing ’n’ Play Ukulele FAQ

Who can attend? These classes are tailored for students ages 6 and up and are open to all levels and instruments. Participants must be currently enrolled in lessons with one of our teachers.

How many people per class? Each class is limited to 8 students to allow for personal attention and group interaction.

What happens during the class? Students will:

  • Learn how to hold and strum the ukulele

  • Learn a few beginner chords

  • Practice switching between chords

  • Learn how to play and sing simple songs

  • Make music together as a group

    • Enjoy a fun, relaxed outdoor class in Gantry Plaza State Park

Can parents sit in on the class? Yes, one parent per student can join as a spectator.

Galliard Music provides support beyond the music class via email or phone. If you'd like to speak directly with the instructor who will be teaching the class, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Payment

Payment for classes at Galliard Music is accepted via Credit Card only. Your card will be charged upon registration to secure your spot in the class.

Our Cancellation Policy

As this is a group class, cancellations are not possible, and refunds will not be issued if a student is unable to attend.

A Note to Parents

Each participating student may have one adult accompanying them in the class as a spectator. If you are a student and prefer to be a spectator, please contact us directly. You won't need to register for the class in this case.
